Mr. Altif, who retired from United States Government service on December 1, 2001, began working for one law firm exclusively in June 2003.  His work has focused on products liability and toxic tort litigation.  Mr. Altif has developed a particular interest in toxic chemical exposure and pollution cases and has decided to expand his company to focus on chemical exposure cases.

 

Tom Altif has 27 years expierence conducting investigations on behalf of the United States Government.  His investigations involved complex financial transactions, and conducting in-depth interviews with accountants, lawyers, financial institution employees and parties having knowledge of the criminal offense.  Mr. Altif exercised full enforcement powers as a criminal investigator including arrests, the execution of search and seizure warrants, and the forfeiture of property.  Mr. Altif testified in numerous criminal and civil trials, hearings, and before grand juries including working  with grand juries on a continuous basis for fifteen years.  His investigations centered on high level drug dealers, bankers, government officials, money launderers, securities dealers, and executives of publicly held corporations.  In addition, Mr. Altif was an On The Job Instructor for newly hired criminal investigators.

 

Tom Altif received numerous Awards and Letters of Commendation from his Agency, the United States Attorneys Office, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Lake County Florida Sheriff's Office.
